Refrigeration Technician (mechanic)

The ideal candidate is a ticketed Journeyman with experience working in a commercial or residential setting; you are someone who thrives on investigating client needs, solving unique problems, and creating high value solutions. People would describe you as someone who takes ownership and pride in what you do. You are eager to improve your skills as a Refrigeration Technician and pass on your knowledge to apprentices.

Specific SkillsMeasure, cut and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment; Measure and lay out reference points for installation; Handle, recover and store refrigerants; Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components; Read and interpret blueprints; Install, troubleshoot, repair and overhaul entire heating, ventilation, air handling, refrigeration and air conditioning systems; Start up system and test for leaks using testing devices; Recharge system with refrigerant, check and test regulators, calibrate system and perform routine maintenance or servicing; Repair and replace parts and components for entire refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation or heat pump systems.


Must have:

Red Seal Ticket in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or equivalent;
Gasfitter B Ticket;(not necessary but would be a plus)
Experience using ammonia, hydrogen, and CO2;
Hold a valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract;
Committed to customer service and going the extra mile while servicing clients;
Ability to think on your feet and utilize strong problem-solving capabilities.


Compensation:

Competitive hourly salary depending on knowledge and or expertise. ($45-$55),medical and dental after trail time (after test period up to 3 months)Professional Development and Education Support
