Quotes & Estimates
Free Estimates — No Obligation
All quotes provided by Central Air HVAC are free of charge and come with no obligation. A verbal or written estimate is not a binding contract. Work will only proceed once you have reviewed and accepted a written scope of work and agreed-upon price.
Estimates are based on information available at the time of the site assessment. Final pricing may change if we discover conditions that were not visible during the initial assessment — for example, concealed wiring issues, non-standard ductwork, or access restrictions. We will always communicate any change to the quoted price before proceeding.
Quoted prices do not include applicable taxes unless expressly stated.
Payment
Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of the work unless a different arrangement has been agreed upon in writing. For larger projects, we may require a deposit before work begins; any deposit requirements will be clearly outlined in your written quote.
We accept cash, cheque, e-transfer, and major credit cards. For e-transfer, please use info@centralairhvac.ca.
Invoices not paid within 30 days of the due date may be subject to a late payment fee of 2% per month (24% per annum). We reserve the right to recover reasonable collection costs, including legal fees, for significantly overdue accounts.
BC Hydro CleanBC rebates, where applicable, are paid directly to the homeowner by BC Hydro. Rebate eligibility is not guaranteed and does not affect your obligation to pay Central Air HVAC for completed work.
Scheduling & Cancellations
Booking Your Appointment
Service appointments are confirmed by phone or email. We ask that you ensure clear access to the work area on the scheduled date and that an adult is present for the duration of the job.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us at least 24 hours' notice by calling (250)-883-1587. Late cancellations (less than 24 hours' notice) or no-shows may result in a service call fee.
We do our best to arrive within the scheduled window. Occasionally delays arise from traffic, extended prior jobs, or parts availability. We will notify you as soon as possible if we are running significantly late.
Central Air HVAC reserves the right to reschedule appointments due to unsafe working conditions, severe weather, or circumstances beyond our control. We will reschedule at the earliest available time convenient to you.
Warranty
Our Workmanship Guarantee
We stand behind our work. Central Air HVAC provides a one-year warranty on labour and workmanship for all installation and repair work. If an issue arises that is directly attributable to our installation or repair, we will return and correct it at no charge within the warranty period.
Equipment and parts warranties are provided by the respective manufacturers and vary by product. We will inform you of the applicable manufacturer warranty when equipment is installed. Manufacturer warranty claims must generally be handled in accordance with the manufacturer's process; we are happy to assist where we can.
The workmanship warranty does not cover:
- Issues caused by misuse, neglect, or modifications made by others after our work is complete
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage resulting from power surges, floods, or other external events
- Equipment that has not been maintained in accordance with manufacturer recommendations
Your Responsibilities
What We Ask of You
To allow us to complete work safely and effectively, we ask that you:
- Provide accurate information about your property and existing HVAC systems during the quote and service process
- Ensure the work area is safely accessible and reasonably clear before our technicians arrive
- Disclose any known hazards (asbestos, mould, pest issues) that could affect our technicians
- Follow any instructions we provide regarding post-installation care or system operation
We are not responsible for delays or additional costs caused by inaccurate information or inaccessible work areas.
Limitation of Liability
Our Liability to You
Central Air HVAC carries general liability insurance and WCB coverage for all technicians. We take our responsibility to your property and safety seriously.
In the event of damage or loss caused by our negligence, our liability is limited to the cost of the specific work performed under the relevant service agreement. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — for example, lost income, secondary damage to other systems, or costs arising from delays beyond our reasonable control.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable British Columbia law.
